Visiting for the first time - nothing prepares you for the startling turquoise waters, sandy beaches, coral reefs and lush tropical mountains that greet you as you touch down on the island of Mahe - truly the postcards do not lie! For an al fresco holiday with so much to see and do, you will be richly rewarded by visiting several of the islands during your stay

Along with the best beaches on the planet, Seychelles has more of its territory devoted to nature reserves and marine parks than any other country in the world 

These islands are truly the most romantic you'll ever find. On Mahe alone there are 65 beaches and fascinating nature trails. Here, Victoria is the world's smallest capital with its quaint clock tower, old colonial houses, churches and many restaurants serving finger licking Creole cuisine 

For honeymooners, the island of Praslin has special resonance as the Vallee de Mai UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to the legendary Coco de Mer palm tree which some say marks the original site of the Garden of Eden. You will be drawn to wander along nature trails and you might spy some of the world's rarest birds including the black parrot. The wonderful beaches at Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette are among the most prized in the world. Moreover, Praslin is also the ideal place to hop off to the smaller island gems of Cousin, Curieuse, St. Pierre, Aride and the Sisters islands 

La Digue - so relaxed that some say it is almost horizontal - is the most photographed island of Seychelles. Here your choice of transport is between bicycle and ox-cart. You should not miss the picturesque coves at Anse Source d'Argent strewn with giant granite boulders against a backdrop of lush foliage 

Once in Seychelles access to the other islands - Denis, Bird and Desroches could not be easier by scheduled flights and charter helicopter services. 

High speed ferries connect Mahe, Praslin and La Digue and on occasion you may catch the traditional schooner between Praslin and La Digue.
