Island Odyssey
Seychelles is beautiful beyond your imagination - truly the postcards do not lie!  For an al fresco holiday with so much to see and do, you will be richly rewarded by visiting a few of the islands during your stay
On Mahé alone there are 65 beaches and fascinating nature trails.  Here, you will find Victoria the world's smallest capital with its quaint clock tower, old colonial houses and churches, and many restaurants serving finger licking Creole cuisine.  Other places of interest include the colourful local market, panoramic vista at Mission Lodge and the botanical gardens with its giant land tortoises
Praslin, the second largest island, is still more beautiful to explore and famed for the unique Vallee de Mai nature reserve, home of the suggestive Coco de Mer double nut. You will be drawn to wander along nature trails and you might spy three of the world's rarest birds - Seychelles bulbul, fruit pigeon and black parrot.  The wonderful beaches at Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette are among the most prized in the world.  Moreover, Praslin is also the ideal place to hop off to the smaller island gems of Cousin, Curieuse, St. Pierre, Aride and the Sisters islands.
La Digue - so relaxed that some say it is almost horizontal - is understanbly the most photographed island of Seychelles.  Here your choice of transport is between bicycle and ox-cart.  You should not miss the picturesque coves at Anse Source d'Argent strewn with giant granite boulders against a backdrop of lush foliage.  Alternatively, stroll through the coconut plantation at L'Union, or marvel at the sight of the waves crashing on the impressive beach at Grande Anse
North Island provides an eco-friendly island experience where a philosophy of 'barefoot luxury' aims to provide the very best in seclusion, location and accommodation.  Eleven villas, each one handcrafted from natural elements to an astonishing degree of perfection, boast individual plunge pools, a health spa and breathtaking views of stunning beaches and verdant hillsides
Frégate is the most easterly of the granitic islands and offers the ultimate private island experience.  Featuring only 16 luxurious villas, each with its own private butler, seven outstanding beaches and some of the rarest flora and fauna on earth, Frégate offers refinement and elegance, breathtaking natural beauty, exquisite cuisine as well as a complete range of water sports and recreational activities
Sainte Anne, situated in the National Marine Park just off the North side of Mahé, features 79 luxurious sea-facing villas nestling in an exceptional and totally intimate property spread along the island's two main beaches.  An unmatched gourmet experience combined with a world-class spa promises the ultimate indulgence of mind, body and soul
Bird Island is the most northerly island in all of Seychelles, surrounded by sparkling white beaches and crystal blue waters. 24 individual beachfront bungalows offer a 'back to nature' experience amid the gardens of an ancient coconut plantation, a bird sanctuary, a nesting site for turtles and the home of Esmeralda, the world's largest giant tortoise
Denis Island lies north of Mahé and compries 25 distinctive, well-appointed villas.  Its romantic ambience makes it ideal for honeymoons, while its glimmering beaches are just made for soaking up the tropical sun and azure sea.  An excellent cuisine, inspired by fresh harvest from the ocean and the produce of the island farm will please the palate of most exacting gourmet.  Denis Island is also an ideal base for thrilling deep-sea fishing expeditions
Silhouette - The exotic, forgotten world of Silhouette represents Seychelles at its pristine best.  Its unspoiled beauty has been elegantly complemented by Hilton Seychelles Labriz, a luxurious resort with around 100 individual villas, a spa and five restaurants
Cerf Island, Mahé's closest neighbour is renowned for the good swimming and snorkelling opportunities it offers.  Home to a population of well-established settlers, most of whom commute to Mahé, Cerf Island now boasts several accommodation establishments that highlight the many charms of this quaintly, traditional island
Desroches - remote and unspoiled Desroches Island, lying in the shade of a plantation of coconut palms and surrounded by 14 kilometres of breathtaking beaches, is situated 250 kilometres south west of Mahé.  The resort's villas and suites are arranged in a manner that reflects an authentic Creole architectural style whilsts it surrounding islands are renowned for spectacular diving and big game fishing adventures
Alphonse is a triangular coral atoll sheltered by the crystalline waters of a turquoise lagoon situated south-west of Mahé.  The island offers the best salt-water fly-fishing in the world
Access to the islands could not be easier by scheduled flights and charter helicopter services. High speed ferries connect Mahé, Praslin and La Digue. Ocasinally, a traditional schooner plies between Praslin and La Digue
